Serum-Free Recombinant RocketFuel

Introduction

CSC Rocket Fuel.  Activates 250 mL CS-C SF-4Z0-500-R. RocketFuel is the broad-spectrum mitogen growth supplement containing only human recombinant growth factors and has been designed to provide defined growth supplements in the serum-free media environment.  

RocketFuel is included in various CSC Medium Kits (please see Serum-Free Medium Kits for more information) and is also available individually as a stand-alone supplement to improve performance of your serum-free medium.

Available Formats

This product is included (2-5mL vials) in various CSC Serum-Free Medium Kits and in "The System".  Each vial supplements 250mL media.

Handling and Storage

This product is delivered at ambient temperature, is filter-sterilized and isotonic.  If the entire unit will not be used within 30 days, aliquot and freeze. Shelf Life is 30 days at +4°C. Do not warm product before use, as the relevant protocols specify that the cells be at ice-water (triple-point) temperature.

RocketFuel must be stored refrigerated and unopened.  CSC Serum-Free Medium may be frozen but RocketFuel supplements cannot.

Additional Information

The Cell System specified in the ACBRI and CSC Cell Certificates consists of Certified cells, CSC complete media (serum-containing or serum-free, Defined or Non-Defined) Attachment Factor, Passage Reagent Group and Cell Freezing medium. CSC kits are ready to activate and use upon delivery.

CSC Serum-Free Medium Kit Formulated Without Growth Factor (SF-4Z0-500-S) differs from complete serum-free medium only by the absence of growth factors and can be made complete, defined, serum-free medium by the addition of Defined RocketFuel (4ZR-500-R).
