Human Endothelial Cells
Endothelial Cells are a type of epithelial cell that forms in the inner layer of blood vessels. Human Endothelial Cells are related to the 84 genes in endothelial cell biology and are located along the circulatory system. These genes play an important role in the disease progression that include inflammation, atherosclerosis and tumor angiogensis (new blood vessels forming from pre-existing vessels) which can reduce blood flow. Due to environmental cues, these endothelial cells express matrix metalloproteinases which then receive access through the membrane to form new capillary networks.
